No-Ads Policy
I will not place advertising on this Website with the exception of some blatant self-promotion which will be clearly marked as such. I hate the way the so many sites clutter up their content with ads. Paid advertising also drives webmasters to try all kinds of schemes to increase the traffic to their site. I really only want people to read my site because they think I have something interesting to say.
When you see me discuss a product on my site, it’s because I think it is useful or interesting. No one is paying me or giving me free goodies just so I’ll say something nice about their products.
I do have links to Amazon.com for books I mention but this is just a convenience. It makes it easy for you to see other reviews of the same books before you make up your mind whether or not to read them. I don’t care if you get a book from Amazon.com, another bookseller or the public library.
The only reason I’m doing this website is because I enjoy writing about software and I hope some of my ideas may be helpful or entertaining for others.
